Dr. Shaw is dual board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and Pain Management. He is a Texas native who started his medical interest by volunteering at a Family Medicine clinic in San Antonio, Texas. He graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science from Texas A&M University College Station in 2001. Dr. Shaw attended medical school at University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas. After graduating in 2005, he completed a transitional year of Internal Medicine at University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio (UTHSCSA) in 2006. He went on to complete Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation residency training at UTHSCSA in 2010 followed by Pain Management fellowship training at UTHSCSA in 2011. Dr. Shaw, along with his wife, Donna, and 2 children, Kade and Kayla, relocated to the Texas Hill Country in 2011.
Dr. Shaw strives to approach every patient in a collaborative, empathetic and individualized approach. In his off time he enjoys spending time with his family, listening to music, traveling, and outdoor activities.
